Accountant

Job Description:
LGS is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer with 4+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to handle a variety of accounting tasks, including both regular financial services and import-related transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records for day-to-day operations and import-related transactions.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and perform regular account reviews.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing vendor invoices, payments, and collections.
• Conduct financial analysis and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control efforts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Provide support during audits by supplying necessary documentation and reports.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and enhance the overall efficiency of accounting operations.
• Handle import-related financial tasks such as managing supplier payments, customs duties, and freight costs as part of the broader accounting responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with experience in both regular accounting services and import-related financial processes.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP) and familiarity with global trade regulations is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage complex financial data.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a positive work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
