1. Financial Records and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate financial records across all companies using accounting software, with a focus on Tally and ERP systems.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Record cash book entries and maintain detailed records of all financial transactions.
  • Oversee daily sales closings, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

2. Inventory and Stock Management:

  • Develop and implement a streamlined procedure for inventory checks, purchases, and stock tracking.
  • Perform regular inventory audits, ensuring all records are accurate and discrepancies are resolved.
  • Monitor expiry dates of products and ensure items nearing expiry (within 3 months) are flagged and placed on promotional offers.
  • Maintain proper records of warehouse stock levels and ensure timely updates in the ERP system.

3. Reconciliations and Audit:

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial records.
  • Reconcile sales data from e-commerce platforms and food delivery channels, addressing discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Conduct complete audits of stock in warehouses and provide comprehensive reports to management.
  • Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is available and accurate.

4. Team Leadership and Training:

  • Train subordinates in key accounting processes, including opening and closing cash transactions, maintaining cash registers, and performing reconciliations.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members to ensure high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where team members can effectively contribute to process improvements.

5. Process Improvement and Compliance:

  • Create efficient workflows for inventory management, purchase tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounting and inventory procedures.

6. Expense and Cash Management:

  • Manage petty cash diligently, ensuring all expenditures are recorded and reconciled regularly.
  • Process and review expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

7. Budgeting and Strategic Support:

  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities to support the companys financial planning.
  • Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to management for decision-making.
