Position Overview

We are seeking a Bookkeeper with 3–4 years of hands-on UK bookkeeping experience, ideally an ACCA Affiliate, with strong working knowledge of Sage, QuickBooks (Online & Desktop), Microsoft Excel, VAT Returns, CIS Returns & Hands on Experience of VT Transaction+ (for preparing Account and Vat Returns).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping records for multiple UK clients using Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel
• Record purchase invoices, sales invoices, bank transactions, journals, and adjustments
• Perform bank reconciliations and control account reconciliations
• Prepare and submit VAT Returns via appropriate accounting software
• Prepare and submit CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) returns for relevant clients
• Assist in producing management accounts and year-end accounts
• Liaise with UK-based clients to resolve data queries and manage deliverables
• Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping services in line with UK accounting standards
• Hands on Experience of VT Transaction+ (for preparing Account and Vat Returns).
• Candidate Requirements:
• ACCA Affiliate (or equivalent qualification)
• 3–4 years of practical bookkeeping experience for UK clients
• Proficient in Sage, QuickBooks (Online & Desktop), and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of UK VAT and CIS return processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple client assignments with accuracy and timeliness
• Prior experience working in a remote, client-facing accounting role preferred
• Hands on Experience of VT Transaction+ (for preparing Account and Vat Returns).
