This role is for our Last Mile Delivery business (Tawseel Delivery Services) at Sharjah, where the role will involve managing a large team of delivery riders (blue-collar workforce), along with operations and support staff.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our last-mile delivery business. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices, VAT compliance, cost control, and financial reporting related to fleet operations, rider payouts, vendor settlements, and logistics-based revenue cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Maintain general ledger entries, journal postings, and reconciliations.
- Assist in month end and year end closing activities.
- Assist central finance team in P&L statements specific to delivery operations (fleet cost, rider cost, fuel, maintenance, etc.).
2. Payables & Receivables
- Handle accounts payable including supplier invoices, fuel bills, fleet maintenance, and other payments.
- Manage accounts receivable including client invoicing and follow-up for payments.
- Reconcile statements with clients and vendors; highlight variances or disputes.
3. Rider Payroll & Cost Control
- Prepare rider salary sheets, incentives, penalties, and deductions.
- Validate attendance, order counts, and delivery performance metrics for accurate payroll.
- Monitor operational costs (fuel, petty cash, consumables, parking fines, etc.).
4. VAT & Compliance
- Ensure VAT-compliant invoicing and documentation as per UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) rules.
- Prepare and support quarterly VAT filings.
- Maintain proper audit trails and support external/internal audits.
5. Bank & Cash Management
- Handle bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and payment processing.
- Track loans, advances, and settlements with employees and riders.
6. System & Operational Support
- Work closely with operations, HR, and fleet departments for daily financial coordination.
- Use accounting software (Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks / ERP systems).
- Support automation of billing, payroll, and reconciliation processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–4 years of accounting experience in the UAE (logistics/last-mile delivery preferred).
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
- Experience handling high-volume invoices and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Familiarity with delivery KPIs (orders, distance, incentives, SLAs).
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with fleet related accounting (fuel, maintenance, depreciation).
- Understanding of WPS payroll procedures.
- Ability to identify financial leakages and optimize operating expenses.
- Previous experience dealing with aggregator clients.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
