About Punnamada Backwater Resort

Punnamada Backwater Resort is a premium lakeside resort in Alappuzha known for its serene environment, exceptional hospitality, and high service standards. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update day-to-day accounting records.
• Prepare and file GST, TDS, and statutory returns accurately and on time.
• Manage accounts payable & receivable, vendor reconciliation, and invoice processing.
• Handle bank reconciliation, cash books, and daily revenue reports.
• Monitor petty cash and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and MIS reports.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Work with FO/F&B/Operations teams to validate daily collection reports and revenue data.
• Ensure compliance with resort and company financial policies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience (hotel/resort industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime, MS Excel, and basic accounting software.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, audits, and statutory compliance.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in hospitality sector accounting
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to multitask and handle pressure during peak seasons
