Accountant

The Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, generating timely financial reports, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This position supports sound financial decision-making by effectively gathering, reviewing, and presenting financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial documentation, including ledgers, journals, invoices, and related records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure timely tax submissions when applicable.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning.
• Track and analyze financial performance, identifying key variances and trends.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, regulatory guidelines, and company policies.
• Provide financial insights and analyses to aid management decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of solid experience in accounting or a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Xero.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organizational capabilities.
• Asian Nationals preferred
• Valid Qatar Driving License is required.
