Accountant

About the Role

We're a growing digital marketing agency looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage our financial operations and ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys working with service-based businesses and keeping finances organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly/quarterly HST/GST returns accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with CRA requirements and Canadian tax laws
• Handle corporate tax filings (T2) and year-end tax preparation
• Stay updated on changes to Canadian tax regulations affecting our business
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable and reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Monitor cash flow and maintain healthy financial operations
• Provide financial insights to support business decisions
• Process payroll for employees.

Must-Have Requirements

✓ Wave Accounting software knowledge is mandatory

✓ Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, HST/GST, and CRA requirements

✓ Experience with monthly bookkeeping and tax filing

✓ Proven ability to meet deadlines, especially during tax season

✓ Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate with numbers

✓ Comfortable working independently
