Accountant

Job Title: Accountant
Industry: Joinery & Interior Fit-Out

We are hiring a Temporary Accountant to support our accounts team for a short-term assignment in the Joinery & Interior Fit-Out industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain accurate financial records and books of accounts.

2. Strong knowledge of project-based accounting.

3. Handle accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and client invoicing.

4. Follow up on outstanding payments with clients to ensure timely collections.

5. Process payroll and staff expenses.

6. Manage subcontractor payments and certifications.

7. Initiate payments including petty cash handling, bank transfers, and cheque preparation, ensuring proper authorization and accurate documentation.

8. Perform bank and ledger reconciliations.

9. Coordinate with the Procurement and Store Departments to ensure accurate documentation.

10. Prepare and complete weekly and monthly account closings, including reconciliations and reporting.

11. Proficiency in accounting software – Tally

Experience: 2-3 years of Relevant industry experience preferred
