Job Purpose:
To perform daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping, compliance with financial regulations, and support for financial analysis, contributing to the financial integrity of the organization.
Accountabilities:

Maintain accurate and timely financial records by processing accounts payable and receivable transactions to support cash flow and ensure accurate financial data.

Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly to verify accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company policies and accounting standards.

Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, supporting the preparation of financial statements and ensuring deadlines are met.

Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights on budget variances, cost control, and spending trends, supporting management decision-making.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors and tax authorities as required.

Support internal and external audits by providing financial information, reports, and documentation to ensure accurate audit outcomes and compliance.

Monitor and review expense reports, invoices, and purchase orders to ensure adherence to budget and prevent discrepancies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial projects, system enhancements, and process improvements that streamline accounting operations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar financial role.

Previous experience in FMCG or a fast-paced industry environment is advantageous.
Skills and Attributes:

Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software; SAP experience preferred.

Training in IFRS or GAAP standards.

Familiarity with internal controls and audit processes.
