Accountant

We are looking for a U.S. Payroll & Sales Tax Accountant to support payroll and tax compliance for U.S.-based clients. This role is suitable for a candidate with basic to moderate experience in U.S. payroll and sales tax who is looking to grow their skills further. Also working on our Canaidan Corporate clients.

The role involves assisting with payroll processing, tax filings, and preparation of year-end forms using ProSeries and other accounting tools.

ey Responsibilities

• Assist in processing U.S. payroll (weekly/biweekly/monthly)
• Prepare and file basic payroll tax forms (941, 940, state filings) under guidance
• Assist with W-2 and W-3 preparation
• Prepare U.S. sales tax returns for assigned states
• Help maintain compliance with federal and state payroll rules
• Work with ProSeries for tax-related forms
• Working with Canadian Clients
• Reconcile payroll and sales tax accounts
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Some experience with U.S. payroll processing
• Basic knowledge of Forms 941, 940, W-2, and W-3
• Some exposure to U.S. sales tax filings
• Familiarity with ProSeries or similar U.S. tax software
• Understanding of 1099 vs W-2 classification
• Canadian Accounting
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions

Job timings: 6pm -3am
