Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper with extensive hands-on bookkeeping experience and strong QuickBooks knowledge to join our growing firm.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, confident working independently, and comfortable managing multiple client accounts end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients
• Extensive use of QuickBooks Online (setup, clean-ups, reconciliations)
• Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation and review of management accounts
• VAT returns and compliance
• Payroll processing (desirable but not essential)
• Liaising with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries
• Supporting accountants with year-end preparation

Essential Requirements

• Proven, extensive bookkeeping experience
• Advanced QuickBooks Online knowledge (essential)
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
• Confident communication with clients

Desirable

• Qualified or qualified by experience
• Experience working in an accountancy practice
• Knowledge of Xero (in addition to QuickBooks)
