The Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role supports financial operations for construction projects and assists management in financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank transactions.
- Prepare and review invoices, payments, expense reports, and payroll records.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts regularly.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with Saudi tax regulations (ZATCA).
- Assist in financial audits and coordinate with external auditors when required.
- Maintain proper documentation and financial records for company and project transactions.
- Support project managers with cost control and financial data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in a construction company.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations in Saudi Arabia.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
