We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Accountant (on husband visa) with reasonable experience in the UAE to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the Finance department in various functions, including Financial Record Keeping, Financial Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting, Taxation, Internal Controls, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Payroll Management, Audit Coordination and Utilize accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP). Key Responsibilities:
1.Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
2.Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure that financial reports comply with the UAE’s regulatory standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
3. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of the company’s budget.
- Monitor actual financial performance against the budget and report variances.
- Provide financial forecasts and projections to support business decisions.
4. Taxation
- Ensure compliance with UAE tax laws, including VAT (Value Added Tax).
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure timely payment of taxes.
- Advise management on tax planning and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
5. Internal Controls
- Develop and maintain internal control procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Conduct regular audits of financial records and transactions to detect and prevent errors or fraud.
- Implement and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
6. Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Manage the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliation.
- Handle accounts receivable, including invoicing clients, tracking payments, and managing collections.
- Ensure timely payment of bills and invoices to maintain good supplier relationships.
7. Payroll Management
- Prepare and process employee payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
- Calculate and process deductions, such as taxes and benefits.
- Maintain payroll records and handle employee queries related to payroll.
8. Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
- Assist in the evaluation of investment opportunities and capital expenditure projects.
9. Audit Coordination
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
- Provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Implement recommendations from audit findings to improve financial processes and controls.
10. Compliance and Regulations
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and laws.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Advise management on regulatory requirements and ensure the company’s adherence to legal standards.
11. Support to Management
- Provide financial advice and support to management for strategic decision-making.
- Assist in financial planning and risk management.
- Support various departments with financial information and analysis as needed.
12. Software and Technology
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) for financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Stay updated on the latest accounting technologies and tools to improve efficiency
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of accountant experience, preferably in the UAE.
- Familiarity with UAE labor laws and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Tally, quick book, Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
