Accountant

We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join a growing healthcare organization near North Bergen. In this role, you will execute a variety of accounting processes and support the team in analyzing business profitability. You will work closely with multiple departments and stakeholders, gaining exposure to both operational and strategic aspects of accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, and related reporting

• Reconcile daily bank activity and general ledger accounts

• Support month-end close including journal entries and account analysis

• Assist with external audit requests and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies

• Identify and implement process improvements, including leveraging technology and AI

• Participate in special projects and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

• 3+ years of accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and operational accounting processes

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills

• Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
