Accountant

Job description:

Pluto Electro-Mechanical Contracting LLC is looking for a highly skilled Accountant with 8+ years of experience in a contracting company. The ideal candidate will manage all accounting operations, ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, and provide strategic financial insights to senior management. This role requires strong expertise in financial accounting, taxation, audits, treasury management, and cost control, while collaborating closely with leadership to maintain financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide actionable insights for management decision-making.

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other statutory regulations.
• Manage tax filings, audits, and liaise with external auditors and consultants.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the property development and real estate sector.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor daily cash flow to maintain liquidity for operations and investments.
• Manage banking transactions, loan settlements, and reconciliations.
• Develop cash flow forecasts to support strategic financial planning.

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
• Implement cost-control strategies to improve financial performance.
• Ensure all expenditures align with company policies and approved budgets.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Manage internal and external audits to ensure transparency and compliance.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Continuously optimize accounting processes and systems for efficiency.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounting team, including junior accountants and bookkeepers.
• Provide training on accounting best practices and UAE financial regulations.
• Work closely with finance and operations teams to improve reporting accuracy and workflow.

Candidate Profile Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in accounting and finance roles.
• At least 3 years in a senior accounting position within a contracting company

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and corporate taxation.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally Prime.
• Experience in financial reporting, audits, and reconciliations.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, team management, and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with superior organizational and time management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
