Established in 1961, ProEdge Remodeling has become one of the fastest growing home improvement companies in the New England, New York and Mid-Atlantic regions. We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our high-energy, dedicated team. 


This position requires at least 5 years of previous related professional experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role with experience in the home improvement or construction industry considered a plus. 


Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Flexible, fully remote, or remote/office hybrid schedule available. 



Summary of Position: 

This position provides essential accounting and administrative support to ProEdge Remodeling. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior time management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a consistent commitment to quality and accuracy while thriving in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. 


Key Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

  • Reviewing and assisting in the month-end reconciliation of all bank and credit card accounts within QuickBooks Online (QBO) and sales contracts in the CRM system.
  • Maintaining transactions on balance sheet accounts. 
  • Assisting with the review of commissions and subcontractor payroll, and preparing related weekly spreadsheets. 
  • Preparing and entering weekly payroll into Paychex. 
  • Reviewing sales contract documents for accuracy and omissions. 
  • Recording deposits in both the CRM system and QBO. 
  • Identifying and assisting with the implementation of process improvements for streamlining as needed. 
  • Preparing professional letters and memos for customer contact as required.
  • Performing other administrative and accounting duties as assigned. 


Required Qualifications 

  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional, related experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role. 
  • Three (3) or more years of experience with QuickBooks Online, PayChex payroll, and accrual basis accounting in a business-to-consumer environment. 
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate as a team member. 
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented approach with the ability to identify and enact process improvements. 
  • Highly motivated with a keen interest in career growth opportunities. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. 
  • Experience in the home improvement or construction industry is highly valued. 


Compensation & Benefits 

The successful candidate will receive a competitive compensation and benefits package: 


  • Compensation: $30.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience.
