Accountant

Job Description
We are looking for an Accountant to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing financial records, and supporting management with accurate reports, managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting production and project site accounting activities.

Candidates with experience handling production accounts and site-based accounting operations will have a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and financial records
• Prepare monthly financial reports, P&L statements, and balance sheets
• Handle accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Maintain proper documentation of invoices, LPOs, and payment records
• Monitor project/site expenses and cost tracking
• Assist in budgeting and cost control for production activities
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams
• Ensure VAT compliance and prepare VAT returns as per UAE regulations
• Support internal and external audits

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in UAE or other GCC countries
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related field
• Experience in production and site accounting is a strong advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, ERP systems, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience in industrial / manufacturing / construction environment
• Cost accounting knowledge
• Familiarity with project-based financial management
• Strong communication and reporting skills
