The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and supporting financial reporting for an interior fit-out and trading company. The role includes handling project-based accounting, supplier payments, inventory transactions, and ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting

  • Maintain accurate accounting records including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.

Project Accounting (Fit-Out)

  • Monitor project costs and budgets for interior fit-out projects.
  • Track project expenses, subcontractor payments, and material costs.
  • Coordinate with project managers for cost allocation and financial updates.

Trading & Inventory Accounting

  • Manage inventory records and stock valuation for trading materials.
  • Record purchases, sales, and stock movements.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock records.

VAT & Compliance

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with UAE regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE tax and financial reporting requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits.

Bank & Cash Management

  • Perform bank reconciliations regularly.
  • Manage petty cash and company expenses.
  • Monitor cash flow and payment schedules.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Assist management in budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Prepare financial reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with auditors during financial audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in interior fit-out, construction, or trading companies.
  • Knowledge of project accounting and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with VAT regulations in the UAE.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP systems (Tally, Zoho, SAP, or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and financial records simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and reporting abilities.
