Accounting Manager- Tax/Accounting firm exp must

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, supervise junior team members, and manage multiple client portfolios. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in an accounting or tax consultancy firm, handling end-to-end client accounts, VAT compliance, and backlog accounting.

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Work Days: Monday to Saturday

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management & Communication

• Manage and maintain relationships with assigned clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact for accounting and tax-related matters.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients to review financial status and compliance.
• Ensure timely submission of reports and statutory filings.

Team Supervision

• Allocate tasks, monitor deadlines, supervise and guide junior accountants.
• Review bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reports prepared by team members.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance before client submission.

Accounting & Backlog Handling

• Handle complete accounting cycle for client accounts.
• Manage backlog accounting and ensure proper reconciliation of past data.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

VAT & Tax Compliance

• Prepare and review VAT returns.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
• Coordinate with clients for documentation required for VAT filing.
• Address client queries related to tax and compliance.

Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure timely completion of all accounting deliverables.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness.
• Support audit processes where required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in an accounting/auditing/consulting firm must.
• Professional certification (ACCA / CA Inter / CPA – added advantage)
• Hands-on experience in VAT/Corporate tax filing and compliance.
• Strong experience managing client accounts independently in tax/accounting firms.
• Experience supervising junior accountants.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks, Zoho, etc.).
• Strong communication and client-handling skills.
