Assistant Finance Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly competent Senior Accountant with 8–10 years of manufacturing accounting experience, preferably in steel or heavy industrial sectors. The candidate must have strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics ERP and a deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures, inventory control, and group-level reporting.

The role demands ownership, accuracy, and the ability to work closely with plant operations, procurement, sales, and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Accounting & Book Finalization

  • Maintain and supervise complete books of accounts in Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
  • Prepare financial statements, schedules, and management MIS reports.
  • Conduct ledger scrutiny and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Coordinate inter-company transactions and reconciliations (Dubai – Africa operations).

2. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

  • Monitor raw material consumption (billets, scrap, etc.), production yield, and wastage analysis.
  • Oversee BOM costing and product-wise margin analysis.
  • Conduct variance analysis between standard vs actual production cost.
  • Ensure accurate accounting of WIP and finished goods.
  • Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving stock, and reconciliation with plant records.
  • Support stock audits and physical verification processes.

3. ERP Management – Microsoft Dynamics (Mandatory)

  • Ensure correct posting across procurement, inventory, sales, and finance modules.
  • Generate real-time production, costing, and profitability reports.
  • Strengthen ERP controls to minimize leakage and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Support system improvements and automation initiatives.

4. Treasury & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor receivables, payables, and cash flow.
  • Support management in working capital optimization.
  • Prepare cash flow projections and budgeting support reports.

5. Internal Controls & Process Discipline

  • Strengthen internal financial controls within manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure segregation of duties and process compliance.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Support risk management initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance (CA / ACCA / CMA preferred).
  • 8–10 years of experience in a manufacturing company (steel preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics ERP (mandatory).
  • Exposure to multi-entity/group accounting structures.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing costing and inventory accounting.
  • Strong manufacturing cost accounting expertise.
  • Analytical mindset with strong numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to coordinate with plant and Africa operations.
  • ERP-driven reporting and data discipline.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
