Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support our finance operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, advanced Excel expertise, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately record, classify, and process daily financial transactions in compliance with internal controls, organizational policies, and applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely submission and adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling data, tracking expenditures, and providing variance analysis using Excel-based tools.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and follow-ups to ensure timely collections and disbursements.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and petty cash reviews to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
  • Assist in payroll processing, ensuring proper documentation, calculations, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement, administration, and other departments to validate expenses, ensure budget alignment, and maintain compliance with approval workflows.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting systems, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • 4–8 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • Practical experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and reconciliation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high levels of accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a high level of integrity.
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA (completed or in progress) are considered a strong advantage.
