Accountant

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting fund accounting and reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience in investment or fund environments, and the ability to contribute to financial analysis and decision-making.

Duties

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements
• Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end closing processes.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to aid organizational growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in investment or fund environments
• Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments.
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks or similar tools; advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis accurately.
• Excellent understanding of financial concepts such as cash flow analysis, budgeting techniques, forecasting models, and general ledger reconciliation.

Pay: $50.00 per hour
