Accountant

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with a strong background in the Food & Beverage industry, specifically fine dining restaurants. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in hospitality finance, cost control, and compliance with Qatar’s accounting and tax regulations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, safeguarding profitability, and supporting management in delivering a world-class dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations of the restaurant, including sales, reservations, payroll, supplier invoices, and operating expenses.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Qatar Financial Reporting Standards (QFRS).
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely settlement with premium suppliers and collection from clients.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to support smooth restaurant operations.
• Track and analyze food, beverage, and labor costs, providing insights to optimize menu pricing and profitability.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis tailored to fine dining operations.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar tax regulations, including VAT filing and reporting.
• Liaise with auditors, external consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent financial discrepancies.
• Provide financial insights to management for strategic decisions, promotions, and operational improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience in fine dining restaurants or luxury hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of QFRS and Qatar tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, ERP systems) and advanced MS Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cost control in high-end F&B operations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Professional discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
