We are seeking a highly skilled, client-focused CPA to lead and manage our bookkeeping and tax practice. This role requires a strong technical foundation in tax compliance, an ability to oversee day-to-day bookkeeping operations, and exceptional client relationship management skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage a team, and enjoys engaging directly with clients to provide value-added advice and guidance.

$100k-$110k/yr

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all bookkeeping and tax operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Serve as the primary client contact for tax planning, compliance, and advisory services.
Prepare, review, and sign tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and LLCs.
Lead and mentor junior staff, including bookkeepers and tax preparers.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with clients to provide proactive tax planning and strategic financial insights.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate implications to clients and team members.
Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities to expand client services.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

CPA license required.
7+ years of experience in public accounting or a client-facing tax advisory role.
Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax compliance, bookkeeping, and accounting principles.
Experience managing staff and/or overseeing workflow in a tax or bookkeeping practice.
Exceptional client communication and relationship management skills.
Proficiency with accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, TaxAct, Drake, Lacerte, or similar).
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help grow a practice.
Ability to explain complex tax concepts in simple terms to clients.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
