Accountant

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team in İstanbul.

Directly supporting the Finance Manager, you will support core accounting processes across international operations, including month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and statutory and group reporting. You will ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, maintain strong financial controls, and contribute to audit and accounting-related activities in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and ensure compliance of day-to-day accounting processes under IFRS and local GAAP in SAP
• Support and execute month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations
• Support accounts receivable activities, including billing, postings, and cash application
• Review and validate invoices for appropriate documentation and process accounts payable transactions, including posting of general ledger entries
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements, including maintaining proper documentation and audit trail
• Provide accurate and timely financial data for statutory, tax, group, and internal reporting
• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and explanations
• Act as a key point of contact for accounting-related matters within the finance organization
• Collaborate proactively with financial controllers and cross-functional stakeholders
• Support resolution of accounting issues and audit queries in a timely manner

What We Expect from You:

• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting (local CPA certification is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with SAP (FI module required; CO–MM and FI–MM are a strong advantage)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups), Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and IFRS
• Experience in the preparation of financial statement reporting packages
• Ability to work effectively in an international environment, including collaboration with remote and cross-border teams
