Accountant

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, account reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records related to real estate operations. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting practices, reporting standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced real estate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions and general ledger entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer ledgers
• Maintain records of property-related income, expenses, and payments
• Track commissions, brokerage payments, and project-related costs
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
• Prepare VAT-related documentation and ensure compliance with UAE regulations
• Support payroll coordination and payment processing when required
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and internal departments for financial matters
• Ensure all accounting records are accurate, updated, and properly documented

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Odoo, SAP, Zoho, QuickBooks, or similar
• Good knowledge of VAT compliance in the UAE
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a real estate developer or property management company
• Knowledge of project accounting, escrow accounts, and broker commission tracking
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage
