Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at our cake manufacturing and sales facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, including financial reporting, bookkeeping, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and file VAT returns and other tax-related documents accurately and on time.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for management and external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in the annual audit process and address any issues or discrepancies identified by auditors.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in the manufacturing or retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with VAT and other tax regulations (advantageous).
