Accountant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced accountant to oversee the Bank's accounting and financial reporting functions.

Responsibilities

· Prepare financial statements and regulatory reports in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

· Manage core accounting functions including accounts payable, fixed assets, reconciliations, and journal entries.

· Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing detailed reports and performing ledger reconciliations.

· Prepare annual budget and contribute to strategic decision-making.

· Collaborate with internal teams on audits, internal controls, and process improvements.

· Maintain documentation of financial transactions including debits & credits, accruals, and journal entries.

· Prepare asset liability management model inputs and analyze outputs.

· Contribute to the preparation of tax filings.

· Present reports at board and management meetings.

· Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to financial reports.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.

· 5 or more years experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.

· CPA preferred but not required.

· Knowledge of U.S. GAAP

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

· Skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and account analysis.

· Ability to coach team members.

· Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
