ACCOUNTANT

Properties & Construction Industry | Karachi, Pakistan

Salary Range: PKR 150,000 – 180,000 per month

About The Company

We are a well-established and growing organization operating in the Properties and Construction sector, based in Karachi, Pakistan. Our work spans real estate development, commercial properties, and large-scale construction projects. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and file income tax returns, withholding tax statements, and other direct tax filings in compliance with FBR regulations.
• Handle all aspects of Sales Tax (GST) including monthly filing of ST returns on the IRIS portal and ensuring compliance with FBR sales tax laws.
• Maintain accurate records of property transactions, construction costs, and project-based financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and cost control across construction and property projects.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, corporate regulations, and internal financial policies.
• Process payroll and ensure accurate computation of salaries, deductions, and statutory contributions.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams on financial approvals and vendor payments.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

CA ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistani taxation laws including Income Tax Ordinance 2001 and Sales Tax Act 1990.
• Hands-on experience with Sales Tax return filing on the FBR IRIS portal.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modelling and reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
