KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar).
- Record and reconcile all income and expenditure including café sales, online orders, supplier invoices, and operational costs.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial records.
VAT Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) in full compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
- Maintain VAT records, tax invoices, and supporting documentation in line with FTA requirements.
- Advise management on VAT treatment for F&B products, including zero-rated, standard-rated, and exempt supplies.
- Liaise with external auditors or tax advisors as required for VAT audits or clarifications.
F&B Cost Control & Analysis
- Monitor and analyse food and beverage costs, tracking variances against budget and flagging discrepancies.
- Support the management team with food costing, recipe costing, and menu pricing analysis.
- Review supplier contracts and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Track waste, portion control data, and stock variances in coordination with the kitchen team.
Payroll & HR Finance Coordination
- Process monthly payroll in accordance with UAE Labour Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021), including WPS compliance.
- Calculate and track end-of-service gratuity, leave balances, and other statutory entitlements.
- Coordinate with management on visa, insurance, and employee-related financial obligations.
Reporting & Financial Planning
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for management review.
- Provide financial analysis and commentary to support business decisions, including expansion, staffing, and marketing spend.
- Develop and maintain annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Track KPIs relevant to café operations including average transaction value, gross margin by product category, and labour cost ratio.
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with all UAE financial regulations, including corporate tax obligations (UAE CT Law 2023).
- Maintain organised filing of all financial documents, contracts, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with the business owner on licensing renewals, municipality fees, and other regulatory financial obligations.
- Support annual audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
