Job Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate cost tracking, and supporting financial operations within a cable manufacturing environment. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting activities, monitoring production costs, inventory valuation, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate accounting records for daily transactions (AP, AR, GL).
- Monitor and control manufacturing costs, including raw materials (copper, aluminum, PVC/XLPE), labor, and overheads.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly closing reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and customer collections.
- Track inventory valuation and coordinate with stores and production teams.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare financial reports, MIS reports, and cost analysis for management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, VAT regulations, and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and production teams for cost control and accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing or cable industry.
- Strong knowledge of costing, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Good understanding of VAT and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Pay: From AED4,000.00 per month
