Staff Accountant — Swift Hockey (Tampa, FL)

In this role, you don't just close the books — you help us understand what they tell us. As Swift Hockey's Staff Accountant, you'll have a direct line to our founder and COO, and a real seat at the table as we scale one of the fastest-growing hockey equipment brands in North America across our Tampa and Whitby (Ontario) operations.

You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our finance lead and operations team to keep our financials clean, accurate, and ahead of schedule. Every invoice, reconciliation, and journal entry tells a story about where the business is headed — and you'll be the one helping us read it. We don't believe finance should sit in a back room churning out reports nobody reads. You'll be part of the conversation.

You'll own the day-to-day accounting work: AR, AP, bank and credit card reconciliations, month-end close, payroll support, and prepping clean books for our external CPA at year-end. You'll also support cross-border transactions between our US and Canadian entities — which means you'll learn the real mechanics of running a multi-entity product business, not just push journal entries around. You'll work directly with our logistics team on inventory costing, our customer service team on refund reconciliation, and our vendors on payment timing.

This isn't a role where you'll be buried in spreadsheets in a corner. We don't micromanage, but we do expect ownership. If something looks off, we want you to flag it. If a process is broken, we want you to rebuild it. The right person here is detail-obsessed without being slow, confident enough to push back on the team when the numbers don't add up, and curious about how a hockey stick going from a Tampa warehouse to a customer in Manitoba actually flows through the books.

What you'll bring:

• 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience (in-house or firm)
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (or comparable; willing to learn fast)
• Comfort with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting (USD/CAD)
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
• Bonus: e-commerce, Shopify, or product-business experience

Location: In-office at our Tampa HQ (33610). This is not a remote role — we move fast and we move together.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
