Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Accountant to join our team at our Riyadh location. The Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, analyzing financial data, and supporting various financial processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to provide insights for management decision-making.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all financial activities.
• Assist in tax calculations and submissions, adhering to local tax laws.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial data and insights as needed.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience (X+ years) as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to reconcile discrepancies.
