Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our Islamabad office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company financial procedures. Experience and proficiency in Capium accounting software is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping entries
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledgers
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and expense reports
• Assist with payroll processing and financial documentation
• Use Capium software for bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting tasks
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Coordinate with management regarding budgets and financial planning
• Support tax preparation and audit processes when required
• Organize and maintain financial files and records

Requirements

• ACCA/CA or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Capium accounting software
• Good understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices
• Experience with bank reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with UK-based accounting systems or clients
• Familiarity with VAT filing and tax documentation
• Knowledge of QuickBooks or Xero is a plus
• ACCA, CA Inter, or equivalent accounting certification preferred.
