Accountant

Zapegg Tax Consultant is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting clients with their accounting and tax-related requirements. This role requires strong analytical abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping and accounting requirements.
• Prepare and review VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Support tax planning, audits, and financial reporting activities.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare financial forecasts when required.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with clients, auditors, and regulatory authorities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and tax compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a tax consultancy, accounting firm, or audit environment.
• Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or ERP systems.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines efficiently.
