Full Charge Bookkeeper (Accounting Firm)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our accounting firm. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, extensive experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Bill.com , and is comfortable managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients.
• Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Manage workflows and approvals through Bill.com.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Review and clean up bookkeeping records as needed.
• Assist with sales tax filings and 1099 preparation.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting matters.
• Coordinate with CPAs and tax professionals during tax season.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) .
• Hands-on experience with Bill.com .
• Experience managing bookkeeping for multiple clients or entities.
• Strong bank and balance sheet reconciliation skills.
• Understanding of accrual and cash-basis accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a public accounting or CAS (Client Accounting Services) environment.
• QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification.
• Experience with payroll platforms such as Gusto, ADP, or Paychex.
• Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
