Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical, and experienced Accountant with 2 to 5 years of core accounting experience to manage our day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will handle a diverse range of responsibilities, including daily transactions, payroll management, VAT compliance, profit profitability analysis, and audit preparation. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate financial records to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-Day Office Accounting & Transactions
- Manage all daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile daily financial transactions and expenses.
- Perform regular bank and petty cash reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledger accounts.
2. Payroll, Salary, and Overtime Calculation
- Process monthly employee payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Calculate employee overtime, deductions, bonuses, and final settlements in compliance with local labor laws.
- Maintain precise attendance and payroll records for internal verification.
3. VAT Filing & Tax Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Prepare, calculate, and file periodic VAT returns accurately.
- Maintain proper documentation, invoices, and VAT records for auditing purposes.
4. Financial Reporting & Balance Sheet Management
- Maintain and update the company’s Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and Cash Flow statements.
- Analyze financial data and calculate monthly Gross Profit (GP) and Net Profit margins.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing reports for management review.
5. Audit Preparedness & Reporting
- Coordinate and facilitate the internal and external audit processes.
- Prepare necessary schedules, sheets, and audit reports to ensure a smooth audit cycle.
- Address audit queries and implement recommended internal financial controls.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience in a core accounting or financial role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Zoho Books) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
- Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of accounting principles
- Solid grasp of local VAT/tax laws and payroll processing frameworks.
- Strong familiarity with inventory valuation and GP/NP calculation mechanisms.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, high attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
