We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and provide reliable financial reporting to company leadership.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing multiple accounting functions in a growing business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly recorded
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Process or oversee payroll
- Prepare and file sales tax reports
- Track customer payments, vendor invoices, expenses, and outstanding balances
- Support job costing, inventory accounting, and profitability analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Coordinate year-end accounting activities with the company’s CPA
- Assist leadership with financial analysis and business planning
- Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger accounting
- Experience preparing financial reports, budgets, and cash-flow forecasts
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Google Sheets
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with leadership
Preferred Experience
- Experience with job costing and inventory accounting
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, restoration, or another project-based business
- Experience improving accounting systems and internal processes
- Familiarity with Texas sales tax reporting
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Full-time, in-person position
- Occasional additional availability may be required during month-end or year-end reporting periods
