Accountant

Role Overview:

The incumbent will support a range of finance functions, including Treasury, Trade Finance, Taxation, Cost & Management Accounting, and Import/Export Finance. The role involves financial reporting, analysis, compliance, process improvement, and providing financial support to business operations. Responsibilities may vary depending on business requirements and the successful candidate's experience.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Minimum 16 years of education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• ACCA, ACMA/CIMA, MBA (Finance), or other relevant professional finance qualifications will be an added advantage
• Up to 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience in one or more finance disciplines, including Treasury, Imports/Exports, Taxation, Cost & Management Accounting, and Trade Finance.
• Working knowledge of import and export documentation, letters of credit (LCs), duties, taxes, freight, and related procedures will be an added advantage.
• Sound understanding of accounting for operational transactions, costs, margins, gains and losses, and period-end reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate financial variances, identify exceptions, and recommend practical solutions.
• Experience in the oil & gas, refining, or petroleum industry will be preferred.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA (SAP FICO) .
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
