We are seeking an energetic and detail oriented person to work with the entire DHSS team and help support its vendors. If you enjoy a challenging and fast-paced environment, this is the job for you. The primary responsibilities of this role include performing audit verifications and processing journal vouchers to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do

• Respond to vendor requests regarding payment inquiries and payment confirmations.
• Review, and process journal vouchers for various financial transactions, ensuring proper documentation and authorization..
• Lead workgroups for process improvement (to identify issues, evaluate options and recommend solutions).
• Provide superb customer service to vendors and internal team members.
• Be a backup for essential duties within the Health Fiscal Services team.

Qualifications - All you need for success Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed).
• Highly organized, proactive and possess strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exercise independence, judgment, and initiative in the performance of their duties.
