Accountant - ACCA Qualified

About the Role

We are seeking an ACA Qualified Accountant with a minimum of two years’ experience working within a UK accountancy practice. You will be responsible for managing accounting and taxation work for UK-based clients while working closely with our senior finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing statutory accounts for UK companies
Preparing and reviewing Corporation Tax returns
Preparing VAT returns
Producing management accounts
Reviewing bookkeeping records
Assisting with year-end accounts preparation
Liaising with UK clients and stakeholders
Supporting audit assignments where required
Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and HMRC requirements
Providing financial reporting and analysis

Essential Requirements

ACA Qualified
Minimum 2 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
Strong understanding of UK accounting standards
Experience preparing statutory accounts
Experience with VAT and Corporation Tax
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines

Preferred Skills

Experience using Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and IRIS
Knowledge of Companies House filings
Experience working with SMEs and limited companies
Previous experience reviewing junior staff work
