Accountant (Accounts Receivable)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant (Accounts Receivable) with 2–4 years of relevant experience in Qatar to manage receivables, ensure timely collections, maintain accurate financial records, and support fixed asset accounting functions. The ideal candidate must be familiar with Qatar’s business environment, accounting standards, VAT regulations (if applicable), and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Functions:

• Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor customer accounts to ensure prompt payment and follow up on overdue balances.
• Prepare and circulate customer statements of accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Record daily receipts and properly allocate payments in the accounting system.
• Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and highlight long outstanding receivables to management.
• Coordinate with the sales and operations teams regarding billing and collection matters.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to receivables.
• Ensure proper documentation of invoices, LPOs, delivery notes, and supporting documents.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required AR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Qatar financial regulations.

Fixed Asset Functions:

• Monitor and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
• Prepare and process Fixed Asset invoices in coordination with relevant departments.
• Ensure proper capitalization and classification of fixed assets.
• Calculate and record depreciation as per company policy and applicable accounting standards.
• Assist in periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconciliation with accounting records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in Qatar in Accounts Receivable and basic Fixed Asset accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks, Odoo, etc.).
• Good understanding of VAT regulations (if applicable).
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)
