Accountant + Admin & HR Coordinator (Dubai-based, In-House)
Summary:
Join Arbitrary, a UAE-based design collective leading innovation across industrial design, embedded electronics, and fabrication. We’re looking for a proactive Accountant + Admin & HR Coordinator to own our financial processes while supporting day-to-day administrative and HR needs, with opportunities to grow alongside our fast-paced, creative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting
- Maintain daily bookkeeping, credit card reconciliations, and accurate entries in Zoho Books
- Upload, organize, and categorize receipts, ensuring they’re attached to transactions
- Track supplier invoices, manage payments, and update vendor records
- Prepare and file UAE VAT returns quarterly; assist with corporate tax documentation
- Generate and present weekly/monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, AR/AP aging)
- Maintain a clean, organized chart of accounts and ensure financial hygiene
Admin
- Organize and maintain company documents, contracts, and Drive folders
- Manage office supplies, utilities payments, and facility coordination
- Standardize Trello boards, project files, and company SOPs
- Coordinate meetings, events, and travel logistics
- Manage the shared company calendar with reminders for key tasks
HR
- Build and update an employee database with skill sets and documentation
- Manage recruitment paperwork, onboarding processes, and HR documentation
- Track attendance, leaves, and prepare accurate payroll inputs
- Coordinate employee resource requests and project assignments
- Prepare HR reports and monitor compliance with UAE labor laws
Requirements:
- UAE accounting experience is mandatory
- Proven experience in accounting, admin, and/or HR roles, ideally in service-based industries such as design, construction, or fit-out
- Strong knowledge of Zoho Books, with a preference for candidates familiar with additional Zoho modules like Payroll, Expense, and People
- Proficiency in tools like Trello, Google Workspace, Slack, and shared drives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field
- Fluent English (spoken & written); Arabic is a plus but not required
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Previous experience with financial hygiene best practices, consistent supplier/vendor follow-ups, and maintaining accurate ledgers

Full-time, on-site in our Dubai office
6-month probation period

Compensation:
Salary range: AED 2,000 – 4,000/month, depending on experience and qualifications
