Accountant & Administrator

About the Company

We are a well-established construction company firm operating in the UAE. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant / Administration Officer to join our team and support our financial and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with UAE regulations
• Prepare and file UAE Corporate Tax returns accurately and on time
• Maintain financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities when required
• Assist in payroll processing and staff-related administrative matters
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial, tax, and commercial laws
• Coordination with suppliers and clients to build up positive working relationships
• Support project-related financial tracking for construction/engineering works
• Support and manage marketing strategies, including coordination of marketing activities, cost monitoring, and assisting management with budgeting and performance tracking of marketing initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a construction company or engineering consultancy firm in the UAE
• Strong hands-on experience in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax submission
• Good working knowledge of UAE accounting standards and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Advantage to have chartered accountant
• Experience in construction or Engineering Consultancy firms in UAE
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
