Accountant and Bookkeeping

Join our dynamic team as an Accountant and Bookkeeping professional, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. Your expertise in accounting principles, coupled with your proficiency in various accounting software, will empower you to manage financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulations. You’ll be at the forefront of our financial operations, driving accuracy and efficiency while contributing to our mission of excellence.

What you’ll do

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing of transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, utilizing your skills in financial report writing and analysis.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to uphold the integrity of financial data.
  • Implement double entry bookkeeping practices to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks,
  • Assist in budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and providing insights for informed decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) while managing corporate accounting tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members on tax-related matters, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to regulations.
  • Keeping Both Owners Informed
  • Misc duties as agreed upon

Basic qualifications

  • Proficient in accounting software including QuickBooks, Quicken
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and account analysis.
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting practices.
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting principles is a plus.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous experience in public accounting
  • Knowledge of technical accounting standards and practices.
  • Proven ability to perform bank reconciliation and account reconciliation efficiently.
  • Excellent Writing Skills
  • Local in Orange County Possible Occassional Site Visit

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
