Job description

The Accountant is responsible for handling general accounting activities of On Time Group.

JOB CONTEXT & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Ensure that cash sales entries for all companies in the group, except for Government Services, are matching with POS entries by conducting daily, regular checking prior to posting in the system.

2. Ensure physical documents submitted are matching entries in the system.

3. Coordinate with banks and financial institutions on financial documents related to OnTime Group and companies’ projects. This includes initial submission, monitoring guarantee expirations and processing cancellation of guarantees.

4. Develop efficient commission & Incentive calculations.

5. Develop clearly auditable processes for the timely bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations for On Time Group.

6. Maintain all general ledger accounts and personnel budgetary balances for all On Time Group and companies’ accounts.

7. Handle long and short term loans and interest on loans.

8. Compile periodic and special reports on Account matters, draft reports and provide documentation to internal and external auditors on the accounts

9. Liaise with Chief accountant for the ad hoc reports and monthly reports.

10. Contribute (as required) to identify areas of improvement in terms of general accounts processes, use of technology etc. and work to implement any changes.

11. Support the Chief Accountant in processing accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary.

12. Provide information on the P&L and Balance sheet.

13. Performs related duties as assigned by Management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCES

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting.

· Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Accounting.

· Experience or exposure in project accounting preferred but not required

JOB PREREQUISITES/ SKILLS

· Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.

· Advanced computer literacy and Microsoft office.

· Driven and can work extended hours.

· Intermediate analytical and numerical skills.

· Working knowledge in any Accounting system

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED 6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
