Accountant Assistant

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support our finance team with daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and recording invoices, assisting with salary documentation, and supporting the lead accountant in various accounting functions. This role requires someone who is quick, organized, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the accountant with day-to-day financial operations
  • Record daily accounting entries in accounting software
  • Prepare, review, and maintain invoices and receipts
  • Support payroll preparation by providing relevant data
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry and record-keeping
  • Reconcile accounts and assist in month-end and year-end closing
  • Respond to internal and external queries related to accounts
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical financial files
  • Other administrative and financial tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • 1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Odoo, Tally)
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
