Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial records. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health by maintaining precise bookkeeping practices, preparing financial statements, and assisting with various accounting processes. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis.
- Assist with revenue recognition across multiple streams (fuel sales, EV charging, in-store retai
- Reconcile point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash transactions across multiple locations, ancillary services)
- Support accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoicing, fleet billing, and collections
- Reconcile bank statements and perform monthly closing procedures in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting to support organizational decision-making.
- Support tax preparation activities by maintaining accurate records of tax-related transactions and assisting with filings.
- Conduct data entry with precision, including double-entry bookkeeping and 10-key typing tasks.
- Collaborate on internal audits and participate in internal control reviews to uphold financial integrity skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP and vast experience in travel centers, truck stops, C-Store, or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks or similar and other financial management tools.
- Ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and general ledger accounting accurately.
- Knowledge of technical accounting concepts including journal entries, debits & credits, and account analysis.
- Excellent math skills combined with strong attention to detail for data entry and account analysis tasks.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments, such as operations, site managers, and external partners and prepare clear financial reports.

Pay: $50,039.85 - $60,263.04 per year
