Accountant – Financial Statement Preparation (Audit Background Preferred)

Job Purpose

To support statutory reporting, financial statement preparation, and audit coordination, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist in statutory reporting and audit file preparation
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards
  • Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and working papers
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Perform GL reviews and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in consolidation (if applicable)
  • Support management reporting and variance analysis
  • Identify process improvements in financial reporting

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (ACCA/CA partly qualified preferred)
  • 3–6 years of experience in financial reporting or audit
  • Audit firm background preferred (Big 4 or reputable firm advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience preparing full sets of financial statements
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
