Accountant for Automotive Care and Service Company

United Arab Emirates

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage and oversee financial operations within our automotive care and service business. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, familiarity with industry-specific processes, and the ability to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Accounting:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Automotive Service Accounting:
  • Track and report costs related to vehicle repairs, parts, labor, and service operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for parts and supplies.
  • Monitor service orders, warranties, and vendor accounts.
  • Payroll & Tax:
  • Process payroll and employee reimbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Prepare and submit tax filings (sales tax, payroll taxes, etc.).
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
  • Generate financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze cost control opportunities in labor, parts, and operations.
  • Compliance & Auditing:
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit readiness.
  • Support external audits and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in the automotive, repair, or service industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and integrity.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) and POS software.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and service operations.
  • Experience in cost accounting and job costing methods.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment within a service center or dealership.
  • Collaboration with service managers, parts departments, and administrative staff.
